Hi Stampers, welcome to my Creative & Chaotic craft room! Today’s project features a 3D item for this weeks Broke Stampers Unite challenge.

So my first thoughts for this challenge were what can I alter and what holiday is coming up soon.  I don’t consider “Back to School” a holiday since it means I go back to work 🙂 The next holiday I would stamp for is Halloween.

What goes with Halloween?  The dollar store! I bought the mini Hershey bars.  I covered 8 of them to put in a clear envelope!  You heard me, a clear envelope! They fit very snuggly but they do fit.

To cover the candy bars, I cut Designer Series Paper (DSP) in 3″x3″ squares.  Put adhesive on one edge of the paper and wrap it around the candy bar.  I am using up some  DSP from a couple years ago, but it was the only Halloween style aper I had.  Challenges are great for using up some old supplies.

I cut a 2 inch strip for the tag.  I used the Halloween stamps from Home Sweet Home.

The tag is actually placed on with dimensionals. I had wrapped the envelope with some colored bakers twine.  Next time I will probably place a card size sheet of DSP under the candy bars for additional support.

I wonder what Terri and Carol have come up with for this challenge. Please share your creative 3D/Anything but a Card projects with us on Facebook.

Dragonfly Well Wishes BSU082317

Hi Stampers, welcome to my Creative & Chaotic craft room! Today’s project features Dragonfly Dreams for a Broke Stampers Unite challenge.

I sorta, kinda cheated on this one.  I only used the Detailed Dragonfly thinlit and didn’t use the stamp set at all.  Oops 🙂

I used Butterfly Basics and Timeless Textures for the background and the verse is from Here from you.  This is a 3″x6″ get well card for a friend of mine who had a knee replacement.  My dragonfly is bringing healing wishes to my dear friend.

I cannot wait to see what Terri and Carol have created.  They are so clever.  Please share your creations with us on Facebook.

Color Challenge BSU081617

Hi Stampers, welcome to my Creative & Chaotic craft room! Today’s project features a color challenge from Broke Stampers Unite. For this we had to use Flirty Flamingo, Daffodil Delight and Bermuda Bay.

You know how it is in the summer, there is so much to do, so little time.  Stamping isn’t something I have done for a long time.  I was up for the challenge of these beautiful colors and to use my stamp set that has been sitting there unopened (gasp).  Thank goodness we have started out stamping challenges again.  It has forced me to get out my inks and stamps.

Eastern Beauty is such a great stamp set because it has endless possibilities.

Let’s check out what Carol and Terri have created.  Something beautiful I am sure.  Please share your creations with us on Facebook.

Using Versa-Mark BSU080917

Hi Stampers, welcome to my Creative & Chaotic craft room! Today’s project features Versa-Mark for our Broke Stampers Unite challenge.

I have loved paisley since I was a teenager.  Has it really ever gone out of style?  If it has please don’t tell me it did, since it is popular once again.

Versa-mark is such a great ink.  It is so versatile, I have used it here as a background ink.  It doesn’t matter what color your card stock because Versa-mark leaves a watermark image of what you stamped.

Isn’t it great!?! It also can be used for embossing, ink resist, and many other stamping ideas.

Let’s check out how Terri and Carol used Versa-mark for this challenge.  You can see Terri’s blog here. And Carol’s blog here .  Join our Facebook group because we would love to see what you can do with Versa-mark.

Polished Stone Technique BSU061417

Hi Stampers, welcome to my Creative & Chaotic craft room! Today’s project features the Polished Stone Technique.

I love that Stampin’ Up! brought back Glossy White card stock back.  It is great for this technique.  It may look complicated but if you have a cotton ball, a little rubbing alcohol and reinkers, you can do this technique.

Dampen the cotton ball with a little rubbing alcohol.  Put a few drops of reinkers (at least two colors).  Tap the cotton ball all over the card stock.

Let’s see what Carol and Terri are up to this week with their creations.

Hi Stampers, welcome to my Creative & Chaotic craft room! Today’s project features Father’s Day/Masculine cards.

Summer time is very busy with birthdays in my family.  I decided to make a masculine birthday card.  Timeless textures is one of my favorite stamp sets.

I used Crumb Cake, Chocolate Chip and Pacific Point card stock. Chocolate Chip and Early Espresso ink.

Anything But a Card BSU053117

Hi Stampers, welcome to my Creative & Chaotic craft room! Today’s project features a challenge from Broke Stampers Unite.  It is to create Anything But a Card.  I created 3D roses that can hold either a battery operated tea light or a chocolate.

I unfortunately didn’t get the best photo of these rose and I gave them away before I truly looked at the photo on my iPad. 🙁

I can’t wait to see what Carol and Terri created this week.

Lovely As A Tree BSU052417

Hi Stampers, welcome to my Creative & Chaotic craft room! Today’s project features Lovely As A Tree stamp set.

Being from the Pine Tree State, I use the pine tree from Lovely as a Tree a lot.  The sentiment is from Flourishing Phrases.  I sponged an oval. Super fast note to send to someone  special to let them know you are thinking of them.

Let’s see what Carol and Terri created this week.

Color Challenge BSU051717

Hi Stampers, welcome to my Creative & Chaotic craft room! Today’s project features  color challenge.  We had to use Basic Black, Basic Gray, Real Red, and Whisper White.

I work with a little boy that is super special.  He is going to Disney once school is out.  He is so excited to see Micky.  Once the challenge was given to use the colors, I knew what I had to make.  I didn’t have to stamp anything but Happy Birthday on the inside.  Framelits can be so fun that way!

Let’s see what Carol and Terri created this week.

Hi Stampers, welcome to my Creative & Chaotic craft room! Today’s project features a Broke Stampers Unite Challenge.  This month’s theme is retired set.

I actually had many sets that I like retiring. In The Meadow and Gorgeous Grunge. Both are awesome.  In the Meadow is a great nature scene set.  Gorgeous Grunge is great for almost anything.

Broke Stampers Unite Challenge 041917

Hi Stampers, welcome to my Creative & Chaotic craft room! Today’s project features a Broke Stampers Unite Challenge.  I am a little behind on my stamping and posting.  Basketball and track have taken up much more of my time than I care to admit.

The challenge this time wasn’t a specific set, it was to stamp with flowers. I stamped on velum with black ink.  I colored using various markers on the backside of the image.

Let’s see what Carol and Terri came up with for this challenge.

Color Challenge BSU041917

Hi Stampers, welcome to my Creative & Chaotic craft room! Today’s project features a color challenge using Old Olive, Pear Pizzaz, Daffodil Delight, Calypso Coral, and Crumb Cake.

I used the Sweet Cupcake bundle.  This set makes me hungry for yummy chocolate cupcakes with frosting!

I love the dimensional look of multi-step stamping.  Photopolymer stamps make it so easy too.

Classic Ink Wash BSU041217

Hi Stampers, welcome to my Creative & Chaotic craft room! Today’s project features the Classic Ink Wash technique.

Doesn’t it look gorgeous?  It was much easier than I thought. I colored my flower with my markers since I wanted multi colors.  Simply use your classic ink pad if you only need one color.

Once stamped, use an Aqua Painter to go over the outline with water.  This gives the ink a slight watercolor look.

Let’s see what Terri and Carol have for beautiful creations this week.  Terri’s blog is here and Carol’s is here.  Please share your creations with us on Facebook!

Bunnies Everywhere BSU040517

Hi Stampers, welcome to my Creative & Chaotic craft room! Today’s project features Easter for a Broke Stampers Unite challenge.

I don’t send very many Easter cards.  I didn’t have any current Easter sets.  So, I made bunnies instead.  I used several circle shapes I had from different framelits for the body.  I used a leaf framelit for the ears.  Easy peasy.  Inside is stamped Happy Easter from a retired set that I am not even sure of the name any more.

Let’s see what Terri and Carol created for Easter.  Terri’s blog is here, and Carol’s is here.  Join us on Facebook, we’d love to see what you are creating!

Magic Card

Hi Stampers, welcome to my Creative & Chaotic craft room! Today’s project features the retired Tasty Truck from Saleabration.  I have been behind the eight-ball during March.

I just love this little truck and all the options it has.  Unfortunately, I didn’t get to play with it nearly as much as I liked.  Oh well….

So here is the Magic Card closed.  It looks like a plain white truck.  Once you open it, you see the magic of color! Isn’t it adorable?

No Fooling! BSU032917

Hi Stampers, welcome to my Creative & Chaotic craft room! Today’s project features a Hey Chick chocolate holder.  No fooling I forgot to post this last Wednesday for the Broke Stampers Unite challenge.  What’s worse, Saleabration is now over and you can’t get this stamp set.  For those who have this can make this chocolate holder,  However, if you don’t have it, use a stamp set you do have.  That’s the great thing about stamping!

This holds a Ferrero Rocher chocolate.  Why  not have a special chocolate for Easter??? I am surprised I could keep the chocolate in this long enough to photograph, even though you actually can’t see it 🙂

Beautiful You BSU032217

Hi Stampers, welcome to my Creative & Chaotic craft room! Today’s project features Beautiful You for a Broke Stampers Unite challenge.  This is one gorgeous set.

I love black and white to begin with. I decided to add just a pop of red for color. I added Real Red to here dress and the verse.  The verse is made using the Mini Treat Bag thinlits.  I cut the “for” off on the “for you” verse.

I love this set because I think it is so important to celebrate the strength of women.

Speaking of women, let’s see what Terri and Carol are up to this week.  Join us on Facebook, we would love to see what you come up with using this set.

Color Challenge BSU031517

Hi Stampers, welcome to my Creative & Chaotic craft room! Today’s project features a color challenge for Broke Stampers Unite.  This week we had to use Flirty Flamingo, Peekaboo Peach, Pear Pizzaz, and Daffodil Delight.

I am itching for spring.  We went from a blizzard one week, to warm weather the next week. So I am hoping the worst of winter is over, but then again it is only March in Maine.

Many times I when we have color challenges, I tend to think of flowers.  I am waiting for daffodils to poke through the ground.  That’s what inspired this weeks card.

I wonder what Terri and Carol created using these colors.  Join us on Facebook to show us what you create.

Ink to Paper BSU030812

Hi Stampers, welcome to my Creative & Chaotic craft room! Today’s project features the Ink to Paper technique for a Broke Stampers Unite challenge.

I absolutely love In the Meadow stamp set!  I use it a lot.  It can be used for masculine cards, but at the same time look how stinkin cut that little fawn is….

I used Very Vanilla card stock for this technique.  I ran the edge of Marina Mist on the top half of the card stock for the sky.  I used Old Olive on the bottom half of the card stock for the grass.  I then stamped all the images with Early Espresso. Once everything was dry, I layered it onto Early Espresso card base.

Let’s check out what Carol and Terri created this week.  I am sure it is something really awesome.  We would love to see what awesome creations you can come up with for this weeks challenge.  Join us on Facebook.
