Thanks to a Cat Groomer

imageHere is a Thank You card to send to my local pet groomer.  She did an amazing job shaving my cat.  Yes, you heard me correctly, shaving my cat.  My cat has fur that is 3″ long.  Needless to say spring/summer consists of fur everywhere!

10460205_925717057455417_5371327243211475773_nSo here is a photo of Spaz before in the morning.  Everyone thinks he is the fatter of my two cats.  He’s actually all fur.10376283_925717037455419_6789116964395877766_n

So back to my card.  It is made with retired colors.  I couldn’t even tell you which colors exactly.  It was made with current stamps and punches.

The fence is the wood background stamp.  The cats face is a 1″ circle punch. The eyes are Neutral Candy Dots with marker pupils.  The nose and whiskers were also drawn on.  The ears are punched from Elegant Butterfly Punch and Small Butterfly Punch.  The body is the 1 1/2″ circle punch.  The tail I cut free hand. The flowers are punched with the flower punch from Itty Bitty Accent Punch Pack.  Of course a few rhinestones for a little touch of bling.

imageGood Morning Stampers!  Look what the Man in Brown brought me.  I will be unpacking this and working on projects.  I will be playing with my new Blendabilities Markers, the French Fry box, and Hip Hip Hooray card kit.  So come back soon to see samples :)  Who knows, maybe some how I will get chocolate put into one of my projects.  Hmm, I think I just gave myself a challenge!

Happy New Year!

10419958_920279271332529_5362799000417551882_n-2I know that you are thinking, “Stace, it’s the middle of July!”  Which is true. However, July is the new year for Stampin’ Up!.  The new catalog is out.  Have you received a copy yet?  If not, let me know and I will get one to you.

There are so many new products.  There are new photopolymer stamp sets in the catalog. Along with Blendabilities, alcohol based markers, new stamp sets, thinlits, In Colors and so much more.  I can’t wait to share all my new ideas.

I had to give Stampin’ Up a bit of a rest for awhile.  Which is one of the great things about this company.  Where else could you take a leave of absence and not get fired??  I have finally found a new location to hold classes and events. I am so excited.  And I want to thank BeLinda for all her help in the past with our old location.  It was very generous of her to give up her time and attend my stamp club all so we could use the wonderful conference room at the fire station.  Thank you once again for all your support BeLinda.

I am not sure I can blog every day with my new schedule.  I will plan on blogging a few times a week though.  Not only will I have usual Stampin’ Up! information, and up coming events; I have been inspired but what I have seen on Facebook.  I am going to start Throw Back Thursday (TBT).  Many people post old photos of themselves.  I am going to start making cards using retired stamp sets that I just “can’t get rid of”.   I know we are all that way.  I have so many stamp sets that I want to use for my personal use.  It seems I can never get to stamp for personal use.  Am I the only one with this problem??  So, I have decided one way or another I would use up old supplies and scraps.  I am in hopes this will accomplish two things.  1) It will inspire others to use up the stored items we all have tucked away. 2) It will help me clean out my craft room  :)
