Sweet Halloween Hauntings

Hi Stampers, welcome to my Creative and Chaotic Spa!

imageHave you ordered anything from the Holiday catalog yet?  So far one of my favorite purchases has been the Square Pillow Box die!  I have had a ball with this die.  The possibilities are endless! It can make a simple pillow box or really go all out!

In this particular pillow box I have kept it simple.  It is made with Happy Hauntings Designer Series Paper and Basic Gray card stock.  A little stamping on Vanilla card stock using a stamp from Sweet Hauntings. Don’t you just love the verse “Death by Chocolate”??  (I could really go for some chocolate right now!)

Would you love to see just how easy this pillow box is to make?  Check it out here.

See, I told you it was easy! A cute, creative project for the chaotic holiday season. You could whip a dozen of these off in no time at all.  And don’t you just LOVE the new tear and tape? It’s so easy to use and doesn’t get your scissors all yucky. I hope you have as  much fun with this die as I do.

Brewing Something Sweet!

Hi Stampers, welcome to my Creative Spa!

Have I told you how much I love the Holiday Catalog??  I want one of everything! imageDon’t you?? Once I saw Sweet Hauntings in the catalog, I knew I had to have it.  I mean it has stamps about chocolate for one thing! Also, being a huge Harry Potter fan, I love the potion bottles.

Here is my creation of a cute Creative Chaos card.  To make things easier when life if chaotic, I started with the Crumb Cake Note Cards & Envelopes.  I added a layer of Crumb Cake card stock. I stamped it with the Hardwood background stamp. I sponged the edges with Crumb Cake ink for an aged look.

I stamped and embossed the poison bottles with silver embossing powder and heat tool. I used my aqua painters to color the bottles with the 2014-15 Incolors. The Happy Scenes Bundle set was used to make the shelf, and I used the cute little spider to add a bit more spookiness. I stamped the envelope with the spider as well.

Inside, I stamped “Brewing Up Something Sweet” on the inside.  I just love the play on words.

Inside View

I have been away from my computer for a few days and I have been SO anxious to get back to it.  I have made a video that I have been itching to share with you. It all started when I saw a box card on Facebook.  I knew I wanted to make right away.  Then, I had a club member that asked if I could come up with a card using the Happy Scenes Bundle.  It instantly came to me what I wanted to create for a stamp club project! A box card with a window opening looking outside. And we know how much I love these bundles! Who doesn’t like saving 15%??

2015 Holiday Catalog is Here!

Hi Stampers! Welcome to my Creative Spa.  Guess what I TOTALLY forgot to stampin-up-holiday-catalog-481x600post last week?? The 2015 Holiday Catalog! Yes, I am hanging my head in shame.  I have been playing with items that I got to preorder and haven’t shared any of it.

Let me know if you haven’t received a copy from me.  Or you can download it here.  It has soooo many stinkin’ cute items.  I can hardly stand it.  I want one of everything!!

My first project I made was a sour cream container.  I have a kids class coming up soon and this is a great project to get kids started wit paper crafting and stamping.

imageI love the Designer Series Paper (DSP).  It’s called Happy Haunting.  The designs are wonderfully spooky on one side.  The other are wonderful fall patters so it doesn’t all have to be used by Halloween. The pattern I used is so cute with the headstones and ravens.

I used the stamp set Sweet Hauntings.  I love the verses: Death by Chocolate, A Treat Worth Dying For, Happy Happy Halloween along with all the poison bottles.  (Being a complete Harry Potter fan, I can use these bottles for all sorts of things.)  I stamped an image that coordinates with the Note Tag punch.

Anyhow, back to my project.  This sour cream holder was made by cutting 12″x12″ Designer Series Paper into four 6″x6″ squares.  You can make 48 treat holders from one package of paper. How awesome it that??? Pretty awesome in my book.  Friends and family will be surprised to find candy inside these.  My favorite is Lindt Chocolate Truffles. I think I eat more than what gets placed in the packages.

Kowabunga Dude!

Hi Stampers! Welcome to my Creative Spa.

imageA while back, someone shared their French fry monsters online. Before I read the caption, I thought “The Ninja Turtles are the wrong color”. So, I decided I would make some Ninja Turtles.  The Owl builder punch was used for the eyes. A  label punch was used for the masks. Of course the main part was made with the Big Shot and Fry Box die.   Super fast, easy and cute.  All the things we love when we have creative, chaotic lives.

So have you ever looked at a craft project, and thought it was something completely different than what it was?  Let me know in the comments below!
