Hi Stampers, welcome to my Creative & Chaotic craft room! Today’s project features the Festival of Trees and a Broke Stampers Unite challenge.
I had one full sheet and scraps of Merry Moments Designer Series Paper (DSP). I decided I would use it to make some note cards with and a card holder that was inspired by fellow demonstrator Patty Bennett.
First here are my cards. The note card and envelopes are slightly smaller than a reular 5 1/2″ x 4 1/4″ card, but they are stinking cute! Twenty come in each package and they are pre-scored. As you can see, you don’t always need to stamp the trees; they can simply be punched with the tree punch. It is also a wonderful way to use up the small pieces of decorative paper.
This is the card holder that is made with one sheet of 12″ x 12″ paper. I used the Deco Labels dies for the layers of Whisper White and Crumb Cake. I used the Word Window punch and Washi Label punch for the verse. This card holder holds the 4 cards I made plus the matching envelopes.
As you know, with the Broke Stampers Unite challenges, I have tried pushing myself a little bit more than I usually do. That is why I created a few smaller cards and a holder. You may be thinking this is a cute idea for Christmas, but it is too late in the season. Let this be your inspiration. Make a set of thank-you card, birthday cards, or masculine cards. Then give them to someone who may need cards.
What do you think the other girls are up to for this challenge. Let’s check them out. I am sure they have come up with something incredible as usual. See Carol’s blog here. See Terri’s blog here. Don;t forget you can join us on Facebook. We would love to see what you create as well.
Join me next time in my Creative & Chaotic craft room for some Creative Chaos and possibly chocolate too.
