Happy Scenes Thanksgiving

Hi Stampers, welcome to my Creative & Chaotic craft room!

Usually in Maine schools have snow days.  This month we had a rain day.  It rained so thanksgiving fall card happy scenemuch school buildings were damaged and road ways were washed out.  I got to go back to bed and sleep for awhile, do some laundry and even play in my craft room!  It felt like a Saturday in someways.

I had a Thanksgiving Day swap coming up.  Here is my creation.  I love the new Happy Scene bundle.  The trees are absolutely wonderful!

I stamped on Whisper White card stock with memento ink.  Next, I colored the pumpkins with a Pumpkin Pie marker.  I sponged Crushed Curry, Tangelo Twist, and Old Olive inks with sponge daubers.

I used my Big Shot and Deco Label framelits to cut the image out.  To get an embossed look to the edge, I cut the image with the largest framelit. Then, I took the next largest framelit and place it on top of the image using my magnetic platform with the cutting edge facing up.  This is very important.  You don’t want to actually cut your image a second time.  With the cutting edge facing up, the back presses into them image to emboss it.

imageMy card base is Tangelo Twist card stock stamped with the Hard Wood background stamp using Early Espresso ink.  I added a layer of Early Espresso card stock to the inside as well as the outside. On the inside, I stamped a verse from Banner Blessings.

I really hope my swap partner enjoys this card.
