Hi Stampers, welcome to my Creative Chaos! I have been waiting for the man in brown to show up! It was a club order and I only ordered one item, but I couldn’t wait for it to get here.
Do you ever get an idea in your head and can’t wait to try it? I sure did. I couldn’t wait to try the new Cutie Pie Thinlit. I know it makes the cutest little cake slices ever. However, I had a completely different plan for it. My first idea was Rudolf!
Isn’t he just the cutest?? Ok, so his eyes look like he may have had a little too much eggnog. His antlers and ears were made using the Flower Fair Framelits.
While I was patiently waiting for the Man in Brown to show up this week; the online group, VC Rocks, announced they were having a blog hop featuring new items from the catalog. I said I would join if my idea worked out. This idea worked so well, this was my first attempt. No altering, no fussing, no mess. It was great!
As I was cutting out the box, I looked at it and said “wow, that looks like a tree”. So here was project number two. Very simple since I was just playing around. I may make a second attempt later so I can stamp some texture on the tree. If you click on the photo to enlarge it, you will see the gold trim actually has some wave to it. I used the wave blade on the rotary addition on the Stampin’ Trimmer.
I think I am going to have a lot of fun with this die. Halloween may be next.
