Cutie Pie Christmas!

Hi Stampers, welcome to my Creative Chaos!  I have been waiting for the man in brown to show up!  It was a club order and I only ordered one item, but I couldn’t wait for it to get here.

Do you ever get an idea in your head and can’t wait to try it?  I sure did.  I couldn’t wait to try the new Cutie Pie Thinlit.  I know it makes the cutest little cake slices ever.  However, I had a completely different plan for it.  My first idea was Rudolf!

image Isn’t he just the cutest??  Ok, so his eyes look like he may have had a little too much eggnog. :)  His antlers and ears were made using the Flower Fair Framelits.

While I was patiently waiting for the Man in Brown to show up this week; the online group, VC Rocks, announced they were having a blog hop featuring new items from the catalog.  I said I would join if my idea worked out.  This idea worked so well, this was my first attempt.  No altering, no fussing, no mess.  It was great!

As I was cutting out the box, I looked at it and said “wow, thatimage looks like a tree”.  So here was project number two.  Very simple since I was just playing around.  I may make a second attempt later so I can stamp some texture on the tree. If you click on the photo to enlarge it, you will see the gold trim actually has some wave to it.  I used the wave blade on the rotary addition on the Stampin’ Trimmer.

I think I am going to have a lot of fun with this die.  Halloween may be next.

Fabulous Frankie Treat Holder

imageHi Stampers! Welcome to my creative spa.  Did you need a last minute Halloween treat holder?  These little Frankensteins are super cute and super easy to make. They hold a little snack size candy bars.

They are start with a 3″x3 1/2″ piece of green card stock.  I used Old Olive for most of them.  In the video, I used Garden Green.  I also used a grass punch for the hair, but a few snips with scissors can make the hair just as easily.

I love the fact that these only take a few minutes to make since I am always doing things last minute.  The exception to this, is planning my November Classes.  Make gift bags, Christmas cards, or a scrapbook tin.

On another note. My daughter has finished soccer.  She is now in tumbling, which is only one day a week instead of three.  I am also taking classes for my teacher recertification this semester. One of them is Google Analytics.  Since I have to analyze data, I will have to be more consistent with this blog.  Other classes kept me away- this one ail actually allow me to combine both my jobs.  Woohoo! Feel free to leave comments here, on my Youtube Channel, or my Facebook page.  Share it as well if you like.  The more data I have to analyze the better.

Here is the video to watch. Fabulous Frankie Treat Holders.

Blendabilities 101

CIAF-Group2-Jul14

If you are like many of my customers you have been curious about alcohol markers but hesitant to try them because of expense and complicated color systems. Stampin’ Up! has seen the need and a simple and affordable alternative in the newly released Stampin’ Blendabilities alcohol markers. I am so excited to share them with you!

Alcohol markers are popular for their vibrant colors and the ability to blend and shade without the streaking you can get with traditional markers. Other brands offer quality and variety, but can be frustrating to use and too costly for paper crafters. Stampin’ Blendabilities come in sets of 3 pre- coordinated (light, medium, and dark) shades of the same color instead of complicated scheme that take time to learn. The colors coordinate with all our products, making it easy for you to coordinate your coloring with cardstock, Designer Series Paper and embellishments.

These markers don’t require expensive paper to look good, I recommend our Whisper White cardstock. Let me show you how you can use these markers on more than just paper. I know over a dozen different techniques for alcohol markers

I am holding a Blendabilites 101 Class at our local Middle School.  August 27 at 6 pm.  You will leave with two full cards, two 3×3″ cards and a sticky note holder. It’s time to unleash your inner artist!

Reserve your spot today and get ready to learn some of the many alcohol marker techniques that I know you’ll love using again and again!

Best Bouquet Ever

I do NOT have a green thumb at all.  I am lucky to keep a cactus alive :)

best bouquet closeupCut flowers are pretty but they will pass by eventually as well.  I am sure I have found my solution.  Bloomin’ Bouquet Project Kit to the rescue. This is the Best Bouquet ever, I don’t need to remember to water them.  Aren’t they just gorgeous??  They are so bright and cheerful. Which is wonderful after a week of rain.

I have decided to keep these in my craft room to be cheerful and to remind me to CREATE.

As soon as I saw this kit and the new Stampin’ Up! catalog, I knew what class I wanted to offer this summer.  BEAUTIFUL BLOOMIN’ BOUQUET BUNDLE.  Come make an entire bouquet of paper flowers using the new stamp set Flower Shop and coordinating Pansy Punch.   You will leave here with a dozen flowers plus enough supplies to make another dozen at home.  INCLUDING THE STAMPS AND PUNCH! This class is $50 with your choice of clear or wood mount stamps.

You must register for this class by May 30, 2013 so I can order enough stamp sets and punches for everyone.

I can’t wait to have paper flowers all over my house to make it cheery.  The color of the flowers can be changed for the time of year. Rich Regals colors would make lovely fall flowers.  Don’t you agree?
