Botanicals for You- Sale-A-Bration

Hi Stampers, welcome to my Creative & Chaotic craft room! Today’s project features Sale-A-Brations  Botonicals for You.

botanicals for you. saleabration 2016I just love the verses with this set and the large verse “Just for You”. Plus the cute flowers, Heaven!

These little flowers just shout pretty, bright colors are needed to me. Plus, I want spring to get here.  We have had snow this past week :(   Daffodil Delight, Melon Mambo, and Pumpkin Pie are so bright and cheerful for this card.  Old Olive is wonderful for the sentiment and leaves as well.

I layered it on Pumpkin Pie card stock, and my card base is Melon Mambo.  This is one of those quick cards for our Creative Chaotic lives.  If I received this card with some chocolate, I would be in heaven.

Don’t forget this stamp set is from the Sale-a-bration catalog.  The Sale-a-bration catalog is filled with items that can be yours FREE with every $50 you spend.  Check out the catalog here.

Broke Stampers Unite- Punch Art

Hi Stampers, welcome to my Creative & Chaotic craft room! Today’s project features another challenge from Broke Stampers Unite.  This week it is punch art; and it was one of my ideas.  When it came time for me to actually make something, I was wondering what the heck was I thinking???  I started to think about what holidays are coming up.  I am jumping ahead to St. Patrick’s Day.St Patrick's Day chocolate/treat holder

This will be a project that I will be making with my stamp club in February.  It is a Gherardelli chocolate holder.  For club I will pick a carmel flavor or something with a gold wrapper.  I only had peppermint chocolate.

So, can you see which punches are used?  I used the Bird Builder Punch for the nose and mustache.  The Bow Builder Punch for the bow tie.  The derby is the 2″ Circle Punch and the Word Window Punch. (I actually cut a strip 3/8″ x 2 1/2″, then I punched the ends to make it curved on the ends.)

His hat needs a lucky clover.  I made it with the heart from the Itty Bitty Punch Pack.  The clover is attached to a clothes pin with glue dots.  The verse is stamped and punched with the Word Window Punch and placed on the clothes pin as well.

His “body” is a piece of DSP (designer series paper) that is 2″ x 5″ folded in half to wrap the chocolate.  I punched the ends with the Scallop Tag Topper punch, even though it doesn’t show from the front side.

I wonder what Carol and Terri came up with this week.  Let’s check out their blogs.  Click on Carol’s blog here and Terri’s blog here.  I hope you join us with this challenge.  Share with us on Facebook.

Let’s Get Together for Coffee

Hi Stampers, welcome to my Creative & Chaotic craft room! Today’s project features items from the new Occasions Catalog.

get together and drink coffee

During the holidays, Connie Stewart created a coffee cup in the Starbucks holiday colors.  Not that these coffee cup shaped cards are new by any means; it did remind me that I didn’t need a true “coffee stamp set” to make one of these.

Then low and behold, guess what was in the Occasions catalog, but a true blue coffee/tea set.  I have a friend that we keep in touch by social media; however, we don’t get to be together in person very much. What a great invitation to get together.

I used colors my friend likes.  Calypso Coral is the card base, one of my friend’s favorite colors.  Crumb Cake is the band of the cup. Chocolate Chips is the scallop punch. Whisper White and Calypso Coral are the circle punches.  The verse is from Balloon Celebration.  The heart is from A Nice Cuppa,  I couldn’t resit putting a little lipstick on the cover with a retired lip stamp.

Don’t forget to order your stamping supplies while Saleabration is happening.  For every $50 you spend, you will receive a free item from the Saleabration catalog.

New Year Note Cards

Hi Stampers, welcome to my Creative & Chaotic craft room! Today’s project features note cards.

banner blessings note cardsI love the note cards & envelopes that Stampin’ Up! sells.  There are 20 per package.  They are great for quick cards.  Completely awesome for the Creative & Chaotic life.  They are great for all the after holiday notes you want to write at the beginning of the year.  Whether it is thank you notes or thinking of you notes, the pre-cut cards and envelopes are perfect!

Designer Series paper dresses them up.  I used the Bohemian DSP.   I love the rich colors.   The Banner Blessing is great with its four sentiments.  I simply stamped them on Very Vanilla card stock and cut them out with the Deco Label dies.

Does this idea look familiar to you?  I did something very similar before Christmas.  Check banner blessings note cardsit out here.  Actually, I made them the same day. If you like the basic design of card, change the colors.  Boom, there you have a   another great card!

Different colors have a different feel to them.  They evoke different feelings.  You could take an entire course on color theory.  My theory, if you enjoy the colors go for it.

Sale-A-Bration Broke Stamper Unite

Hi Stampers, welcome to my Creative & Chaotic craft room! Today’s project features What I Love from the Sale-a-bration catalog which runs from January 5-March 31, 2016.  For every $50 you spend on stamping supplies, you will receive a free item from this special catalog.

what I love saleabration embossing resist

Even though this is a three step stamping set, I wanted to review a few techniques.  This card is an embossing resist technique.  I started with white shimmer paper, stamped with Versa Mark ink, and embossed with white embossing powder.  It can be difficult to see, if you tilt your card in the light will help.

After the embossing is done, I started to color with my sponge daubers.  I started with the center of the flowers.  I used Cajun Craze in the very center, then Pumpkin Pie, and Daffodil Delight.  I also sponged Daffodil Delight all over the card so it wouldn’t be stark white.  I sponged the leaves with Old Olive ink.  Don’t worry if you go outside the lines on this card.  It is fine.

Finally, I took a tissue to the top of the embossing,  This wipes off any extra ink, and really helps the white embossing pop.

My second card was also stamped and embossed white on Wisteria Wonder card stock .  I used the White Wash what i love white washtechnique.  It sounds complicated, but it means to paint it white with diluted ink.

I put a dab of my white craft ink refill on my silicone pad.  I added a few drops of water to mix in with it.  I used my aqua painter to fill in the flowers.  I used a tissue to dab my paint as I went.  I didn’t want my paper to get too wet.  Once I finished painting my flowers, I thought the leaf stems really stood out.  I traced around think leaves with the aqua painter.  I stamped a verse in the middle with white craft ink and embossed it in clear.  I mounted it onto a Blushing Bride base.

I’m very excited to see what Carol and Terri have made, and which sets from the Saleabration catalog they will use.  Check out Carol’b blog here and Terri’s blog here.

Winter Shares

Hi Stampers, welcome to my Creative & Chaotic craft room! Today’s project features a few projects I made during the holidays.

chocolate snowman hanging ornament, tagFirst are my chocolate snowmen.  They can be made for any winter holiday.  My family has several winter birthdays.  I think these would make great tags for gift bags.  I learned how to make these from Jeanette Cobb.  Another great use for the Tree Builder punch. I love getting lots of uses for my punches!

My second share is a home decor item.  I spiral flower die pine conesbought a pine sprig from the local craft store. I stamped a winter scene, and used my Scallop Tag punch to make the cute tags.  I tied them on with with some retired natural ribbon.  The pine cones are my FAVORITE part.  I can’t remember if I saw a card that had them on Facebook or Pinterest…. They are made using the Spiral Flower die.  You know the one that makes wonderful roses!!!  Someone was very clever to stretch the rose out to a cone shape.  I can’t believe I live in the Pine Tree State and have never thought of a pine cone.  Guess what I will be making every year.

reindeer punch artFinally, I will share a card that I forgot to share.  I am sure you saw Rudolf all over the internet.  I don’t know who the original person who created this idea.  I followed Rhonda Wades directions for my card.   He is stinkin’ cute.

Luminary-Broke Stampers Unite 3D Challenge

Hi Stampers, welcome to my Creative & Chaotic craft room! Today’s project features a 3D project for a Broke Stampers Unite Challenge.

mini treat bag luminaryA while back I made some gusseted bags using the Mini Treat Bag die.  I thought they would make great luminaries.  I made some for the holidays.  Which they are completely adorable.  Then, my preorder for the Spring Catalog arrived.

Oh my, my.  I love the Rose Garden thinlits was something I knew I HAD to have!  It comes in a bundle with a beautiful photopolymer stamp set.

I knew I had to make a luminary with a gold glitter rose, and the gorgeous Birthday Glitter LuminaryBouquet DSP (designer series paper).  Click on the image, you can see how beautiful this paper is.  You can also see the battery operated tea light in the bottom.  I wouldn’t dare use a regular tea light due to the chance of fire.

I plan on making some for such things Relay for Life events, Mother’s Day, etc.  Depending the punch or framelits used, these could be made for birthdays or baby showers.  How cute would these be for a baby shower!!  OMG I think I need more framelits!  I am glad I have a school vacation, so I can play some more.

I wonder what creative projects Terri and Carol have made.  I bet it will be something really cool that I may have to copy over vacation.  Check out Terri’s blog here.  Check out Carol’s blog here.  If you have a cool 3D project you’d like to share with us; share it on  our Facebook page.

Festival of Trees -Broke Stampers Unite

Hi Stampers, welcome to my Creative & Chaotic craft room! Today’s project features the Festival of Trees and a Broke Stampers Unite challenge.

I had one full sheet and scraps of Merry Moments Designer Series Paper (DSP).  I festival of trees note cardsdecided I would use it to make some note cards with and a card holder that was inspired by fellow demonstrator Patty Bennett.

First here are my cards.  The note card and envelopes are slightly smaller than a reular 5 1/2″ x 4 1/4″ card, but they are stinking cute!  Twenty come in each package and they are pre-scored. As you can see, you don’t always need to stamp the trees; they can simply be punched with the tree punch.  It is also a wonderful way to use up the small pieces of decorative paper.

festival of trees note card holderThis is the card holder that is made with one sheet of 12″ x 12″ paper. I used the Deco Labels dies for the layers of Whisper White and Crumb Cake.  I used the Word Window punch and Washi Label punch for the verse.  This card holder holds the 4 cards I made plus the matching envelopes.

As you know, with the Broke Stampers Unite challenges, I have tried pushing myself a little bit more than I usually do.  That is why I created a few smaller cards and a holder.  You may be thinking this is a cute idea for Christmas, but it is too late in the season.  Let this be your inspiration.  Make a set of thank-you card, birthday cards, or masculine cards.  Then give them to someone who may need cards.

What do you think the other girls are up to for this challenge.  Let’s check them out.  I am sure they have come up with something incredible as usual.  See Carol’s blog here.  See Terri’s blog here.  Don;t forget you can join us on Facebook.  We would love to see what you create as well.

Festival of Bright Trees

Hi Stampers, welcome to my Creative & Chaotic craft room! Today’s project features the Festival of Trees Bundle.  I just love these bundles that make stamping and cutting so much easier and  save MONEY when we buy them as a set!

I will be using this set several times this week getting ready for Christmas.  I cannot believe it is only a few days away! Where does the time go?

colorful festival of treesSo here is my card.  It was inspired by a card on Pinterest.  It was white with colored trees.  So, I decided to change it up by using Basic Black as my base color and using the Bold Brights collection for the trees.

I used the Tree punch to cut them out.  So much easier than hand cutting.  I wrapped the silver ribbon around a Basic Black layer that I ran through the Big Shot using the Decorative Dots embossing folder.

This was a rather easy card for my last minute card making just before Christmas.  Now to get them in the mail!

Tomorrow I will be using the Festival of Trees bundle again for a Broke Stampers Unite challenge.  Make sure you come back to see what the ladies and I create using this set.

Broke Stampers Unite Color Challenge- December

Hi Stampers, welcome to my Creative & Chaotic craft room! Today’s project features a  Broke Stampers Unite color challenge.  This months colors include:  Soft Sky, Night of Navy, Tip Top Taupe, Rich Razzleberry and Whisper White.

wilderness awaits,As you all know, these color challenges with more than three colors is a struggle for me,  The way I have been overcoming this struggle is using makers.

My card base is Night of Navy, Soft Sky and Rich Razzleberry.  My Whisper White layer was put thru my Big Shot with the Woodland texture embossing folder.  I just love this folder.  I wish I had ordered when the Holiday Catalog came out.  However, I am glad I got mine.  If you haven’t ordered yours yet, get it NOW!  It won’t be returning :(

Ok, back to how I made my card.   Sponging on the actual embossing folder is a major part of this card.  I sponged Tip Top Taupe and Soft Sky on the smooth side of the embossing folder.  Then I stamped the dog from The Wilderness Awaits  directly onto the folder itself, using black ink.  I carefully placed my white card stock in the folder, and ran it through the Big Shot.

After embossing, I colored in the details with markers.  I did use my marker to color in the cracks of the birch trees on the embossing folder.  I think it helps give it a more realistic feel since many white birch trees have the color variations and peeling bark.  I think this technique of coloring and stamping onto the embossing folder makes wonderful masculine cards.  The Woodland folder will definitely stay in my collection of embossing folders to used for the men in my life.

I wonder what Carol and Terri have done with this color combination.  See Carol’s blog here and Terri’s blog here.  They always surprise me with their creations.  I think I will have a little chocolate while I check out their blogs. Would you like to join us using this color combination?  You can join us on Facebook.

A Little Something Fancy Fold Card- Broke Stampers Unite Challenge

Hi Stampers, welcome to my Creative & Chaotic craft room! Today’s project features the A Little Something bundle, Versatile Christmas and another Broke Stampers Unite Challenge. This weeks challenge is a fancy fold card.

fancy fold card broke stampers unite challenge, a little something,I don’t know about you, but I am still trying to get my holiday cards competed.  Here is one more to add to my collection. It’s a Pop Out Swing Card.  This type of card can really wow your friends.  They will think the swinging motion is much more difficult than it is.

If you are part of my stamp club, you will be learning how to make this card this month.  If you are not, join me Friday and I will have a video tutorial.

Here is what the card looks like on the inside, when it is swinging open.                                               Stamping with Stace fancy fold card, broke stampers unite challenge

Isn’t it cute.  I love how the little snowflakes are just falling everywhere.   The verse on the inside and the front cover are from Versatile Christmas.  A few rhinestones for some holiday bling.

If you look closely at the insert.  It is a piece of whisper white card stock cut 5″ x 6″.  There are only two score lines.  On the six inch side, score at 2″ and 4″.

The “Pop Out” part of the card is the squares.  Mine are cut from black glimmer paper, whisper white and real red card stock. I cut them with the square framelits.  Again, if you’re a completely visual person who needs to see how it is put together I will have a video on Friday.

I wonder what Carol and Terri have created for this weeks challenge.  Check out Carol’s blog here.  Check out Terri’s blog here.  If you would like to join us and share your creation, join our new Facebook group.

On a side note, the girls and I are getting ready for new challenges using stamps from the new Occasions Catalog.  Do you need a FREE catalog from me?  If so, completely fill out a Catalog Request Form and I will send one to you.

Winter Sheltering Tree

Hi Stampers, welcome to my Creative & Chaotic craft room! Today’s project features the Sheltering Tree stamp set and embossing.

Stamping with Stace sheltering tree, white embossIt is a SUPER EASY card that can be easily massed produced for the holidays. Unfortunately, the glossy sheen  of the white embossing powder doesn’t show very well in this photo.

I simple took a half sheet of Night of Navy card stock and folded it in half.  I used my embossing buddy and versa mark stamp pad to stamp my snow  bank and tree.

I covered my card stock in white embossing powder. This is the point, before you heat the embossing powder, to check for an specks of embossing powder that shouldn’t be there.  I use a small paint brush to clean off any unwanted specks.  A simple card like this will show any extras that you don’t want on your image.

Now, that all your card only has embossing powder where you want it, heat set it with your embossing heat tool.  Finally, add a few rhinestones for a little extra bling.  Like I said, a quick and easy card for mass production for the holiday season.  Instead of a holiday greeting you could stamp a thank you greeting on the inside.

Sheltering Tree Double Stamping- Broke Stampers Unite Challenge

Hi Stampers, welcome to my Creative & Chaotic craft room! Today’s project features the Sheltering Tree stamp set for a challenge with Broke Stampers Unite.  I seem to be having a little theme lately with this stamp set.  I’ll have another card Friday.  What can I say, this is a wonderful stamp set!

I saw a card on Pinterest from Tami White.  I was fascinated by it and couldn’t figure out Stamping with Stace, sheltering tree.
how she did it.  Once I saw how she did it, I was “Duh, it’s just like triple stamping!” I’m going to call it Double Stamping since it’s two layers.

My card base and colored layer (1 5/8″x 4 3/8″) are Blackberry Bliss. My Whisper White layers are 5 1/4″x 4 ” and 1 1/4″x 4 1/4″.

Now you may be asking “Stace, how do you line up the tree so well?”  Here is the secret part.  You stamp the tree just one time.  Put the tiniest spot of adhesive on the back of the small white layer.  ( Bonus tip* I rub the layer on my jeans to make it even less tacky.  I don’t want this piece of white layer to be permanently fixed yet.  I want to be able to remove it.)  I place the small layer on my larger layer.  I ink my tree with Early Espresso ink and stamp on both layers at the same time.  if you look closely, the tree goes just a little above the white layer.

If you try this at home and you may notice a little gap between the two layer of white.  DO NOT PANIC!  This is fine.  The layer of Blackberry Bliss will cover that little gap.

I carefully removed the small white layer.  I first stamped with Hello Honey ink, then scrubbed the stamp with my Stampin’ Scrubber and Stampin’ Mist.  I stamped a second time with Tangelo Twist, but I moved my stamp slightly to the left this time to show the first layer.  Again I cleaned my stamp.  The third time, I stamped with Blackberry Bliss.  Moving it slightly to the left again to show the bottom layers of stamping.

Assembly is quite easy.  Adhere the small white layer on the colored layer.  Align these two layers with your larger white layer so the image has proper alignment.  Adhere all the layers to the card base.  Now you can amaze your friends with this simple but stunning Double Stamping technique.

I’m glad I joined the ladies at Broke Stampers Unite.  They challenge me to stretch myself.  Lets see what the other ladies are up to.  Visit Terri here, and Carol here.  See our Facebook page here.

Broke Stampers Unite Color Challenge-Sheltering Tree

Hi Stampers, welcome to my Creative & Chaotic craft room! Today’s project features a color challenge from Broke Stampers Unite.  The color combination that must be used are Tangelo Twist, Always Artichoke, Chocolate Chip, Cajun Craze, and Wild Wasabi.

Stamping with Stace-Broke Stampers Unite Color ChallengeNormally, I usually only use two or three colors.  Five is a big challenge for me.  Sometimes it is really good to be pushed out of our comfort zone a little. Sometimes when I see color challenges, I tend to think I have to use all the color in card stock.  I have to remind myself I can use a few colors for my card base and use multiple colored inks in my design.

I have loved the Sheltering Tree stamp set.  I had it for awhile before having time to use it.  Sheltering Tree is a “two step” stamp set.  First I stamped the tree base in Chocolate Chip.  I stamped the grass in Always Artichoke.  The stamp image that is usually used for the leaves on the tree, I inked with Wild Wasabi, Tangelo Twist and Cajun Craze to create the pile of fallen leaves that are on the ground.

I will post a super quick video on how to create cards using the Thumping Technique later this week.  Ok so I didn’t realize it was Wednesday already, so lets say Friday I will have the video posted for you.  It will be just the actual stamping, not the assembly of the card.

The card base is Chocolate Chip with a layer of Cajun Craze.  I stamped “My Friend” with Chocolate Chip ink on Cajun Craze card stock.  I punched it with a retired punch (I never get rid of my punches.)   The new Washi Label punch could be used for this or the  Word Window punch.  I used a Wild Wasabi candy dot for an accent.  Finally, I had to stamp a little rake to show how all the leaves got into a pile.

I’m glad I joined the ladies at Broke Stampers Unite.  They challenge me to stretch myself.  Lets see what the other ladies are up to.  Visit Terri here, and Carol here.

Butterfly Bokeh-Broke Stampers Unite Challenge

Hi Stampers, welcome to my Creative & Chaotic craft room! Today’s project features the Swallowtail stamp and the Bokeh technique.

bokeh butterflyIt wasn’t too long ago that I used this technique with my stamp club.  We did it making holiday cards.  You can see them here.  I love this technique because no two cards are the same.  Bokeh is a photography term for photo with lights that look like dots of color. bokeh_effect_resources-Bokeh-Effects-Pack-42-Free-Images

I absolutely love butterflies.  That was the start of this challenge for me (besides knowing I had to use the bokeh technique). From there, I chose my colors. Nice warm oranges and yellows. I used sponge daubers for this card.  Sometimes I use sponges that I cut into fourths.

Use which ever you have on hand.  Don’t panic if you think you white spots stand out quite a bit.  You design will look different once you stamp on it. broke stampers unite bokeh techniques

In Everything Give Thanks-Broke Stampers Unite Challenge

Hi Stampers, welcome to my Creative & Chaotic craft room! Today’s project features imageBanner Blessings for this weeks Broke Stampers Unite Challenge.  This week our challenge is to make a thankful/grateful card.

This particular card had a lot of “paper therapy” in it.  The past year has been rough for me.  I’m forever grateful for those who have stood by me, listen to me whine & cry, made me smile and have lifted me back up! This card was filled with so much “therapy” in it, I journaled about it.  Here is what I wrote.

“The day before I made this card, I was the person who drove past someone home that had smoke seeping out the window frames.  I was the one who had to call 911.

Other people stopped to help as well.  The family was not home, but dogs were safely taken from the home which was a total loss.  After leaving the scene, I cried knowing these people were safe.  I cried know my daughter was safe visiting her dad. I was grateful for every materialistic item I own, knowing if they were lost, they could be replaced.  I started this card with the intention of being thankful for friends and family who have always had my back.

I picked the colors for the fact it is autumn, even though the weather in Maine has been a little crazy.  Warm, cold, and then warm again.  I knew which verse I wanted to use when I was given this challenge.  Then I thought it needed something for texture.  I selected Gorgeous Grunge.  After stamping I thought I’d age the card by making it look a little more worn by crumpling it all up.  I added alcohol to it really help loosen the fibers.

I wanted to stamp the image on scrap crumb cake card stock since white was too much of a contrast.  Still, the paper was still too crisp looking.  I crumpled that too.

Sometimes our feeling come out in our art.  I mean that’s what makes an ordinary project ART isn’t?  Emotional responses.  So this card fits my mood today.  It is thankful, creative, chaotic, a complete mess yet still beautiful.”

Sometimes our Creative Chaos happens because we’re busy with life and short on time.  Other times it is because the Creative Chaos is in our souls.  Either way- be creative.

Now let’s see how Carol and Terri are sharing how they express their gratefulness.

Wondrous Wreath-Broke Stampers Unite Challenge

Hi Stampers, welcome to my Creative & Chaotic craft room! Today’s project features Wondrous Wreath for the Broke Stampers United Challenge.

wondrous wreath -Broke Stampers Unite ChallengeThis project was the first time I used this set.  I have seen so many pretty things made with this set; but once I got it in my hands, I didn’t have a clue what to do with it.  Of course I went straight to Pinterest.

My inspiration came from two pins.  One was a Halloween card with a witch and other Halloween things.  The second was a gift bag that may have been a birthday or even a wedding it was extremely elegant.   The gift bag had pearls and ribbon.  It was lovely.

It made me think that I need to special gifts for some girls in my school.  They did some awesome work, which took some of the load of my shoulders.  I want to give it to them on Friday for Halloween.  They are seventh graders after all (and I think 7th graders still go trick or treating).  I also knew I had the mini treat bag, which is like a gift bag.

First I tried making black wreaths.  It didn’t really work for me. So I ended up using Hello Honey, Blackberry Bliss, Tangelo Twist inks for the wreath.  I cut the verse from black glimmer paper using the Greetings thinlits.  The bags were made with Happy Hauntings Designer Series Paper (DSP) and the mini treat framelits. Tear & tape, glue dots and dimensionals were used to adhere everything together.

I cannot believe this is the last week of October and Halloween is this weekend.  Where does the time go???  My grandmother used to tell me, “The older you get, the quicker time goes by”.  Man, she wasn’t kidding!

Now, let’s hop over to Carol and Terri’s blogs to see what they made this week.

Witch’s Hat Punch Art with Video Tutorial

Hi Stampers, welcome to my Creative & Chaotic craft room! Today’s project features witch's hat treat clippunches and glimmer paper!  It was an adorable Halloween gift and it only take minutes to make! Great for when you’re short on time.  You know that chaotic thing called life :)

I made a bunch of these for my stamp club ladies.  If you’d like to stamp with me in person, email me and I will send you a list of dates and times.

Anyhoooo, back to the witch’s hat. I am not sure who the original designer was.  I do know it was shared at Stampin’ Up!’s Founders Circle meeting.  I loved the fact that it used the Black Glimmer paper.  I bought it immediately, and then forgot what I was going to use it for.  Please tell me you’ve done that before too.  You can use Basic Black card stock or even Halloween Designer Series Paper (DSP).

Ok Stampers, get out your circle punches, tree punch and paper and lets get crafting. You can watch the video below or click here.

Sweet Hauntings

Hi Stampers, welcome to my Creative & Chaotic craft room! Today’s project features several products: Sweet Hauntings, Happy Scenes and Hearth & Home thinlits dies.

I have a friend a Halloween card.  I wanted something a little more sweet haunting halloween card by Stamping with Stacesophisticated…Pinterest was my inspiration. Where else can you go for immediate inspiration?  Ok, so I pretty much cased the card.  I can’t remember the name of the creator, but it was created by one of Stampin’ Up!’s artisan design team.

I had to modify mine a bit since I didn’t have all the supplies to reproduce the card.  I had a brick embossing folder from who knows where or which craft store that I bought who knows when….

I brayered directly onto the embossing folder brayered embossing foler stamping with stacewith Basic Gray ink. Of course this not being a Stampin’ Up! embossing folder; the pattern doesn’t cover my entire sheet of Very Vanilla card stock.  That is why my verse is at the bottom.  I have a piece of 1/4″ basic black ribbon covering the seam and a small smear mark where I smudged the ink.  Hey, haven’t you heard the expression “there are no mistakes, just a chance to embellish”? :)

I stamped my bottles onto a small piece of Very Vanilla card stock. I colored them with a blender pen and Basic Gray and Smokey Slate ink.  I cut the window from Basic Clack card stock using my Big Shot and the Hearth & Home thinlit dies. I used snail to use attach the window over the bottles.  I stamped the cutest little spider from Happy Scenes into the corner of the window.  He is one spider I am not scared of! I layered my card with Basic Black and put it on a Very Vanilla card base.

I really hope my friend is surprised that I thought of her this Halloween.
